Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregon's scenic Douglas County. The community is nestled in a lush, forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua. Roseburg makes an ideal spot for sampling the outdoor splendor of two regions: the Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua and the Cascade Mountains. Once a thriving timber town now boasts nearly a dozen wineries can be found in this valley. The region’s growing list of vintners produces a variety of award-winning wines, including: baco noir, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, marechal foch, tempranillo, and riesling.
The region’s unrivaled natural beauty, thunderous waterfalls, covered bridges, wildlife viewpoints, as well as the warm hospitality of the locals provides an idyllic destination. The complex topography of the Umpqua Valley, formed by the convergence of three mountain ranges of varying ages and structure, contributes to the occurrence of varied soil types and the many sub-valleys known as the Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua.
