Call it Bandon, or call it Bandon-by-the-Sea. However you refer to it, this quaint seacoast town (3,100 residents)is sure to delight you with its charm, its scenic beauty, its rich opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and its warmth shown by the local residents.
It is home to three of the world’s premier golf courses (Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails). Complementing the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is Bandon's new 18-hole course in Bandon Crossings! They are quickly becoming known as Oregon's Golf Coast!
The scenic beauty Bandon offers is unparalleled. Enjoy birding, surfing, crabbing, fishing, mushroom picking...and so much more! No doubt you will find Bandon very enjoyable!
Port Orford is one of Oregon’s true ocean harbors meaning the harbor is unprotected from the open ocean. In fact, private yachts and fishing boats cannot be moored in the harbor, instead boats are hoisted in and out of the turbulent bay via a 5 story lift. The public dock is great spot to watch the loading and unloading of boats, fish or just take in the beauty that surrounds this peaceful little town. Just 5 miles north of town and six miles due west of Hwy 101 is Cape Blanco Lighthouse and state park. The lighthouse is the oldest and the most windiest lighthouse on the lower 48 – plus the most westerly point!
