The Emerald City is one of the friendliest cities in the country. Seattle’s cosmopolitan flare and innovative nature presents a city anything but ordinary. Home of the jetliner, computer software and espresso to go - Seattle as a destination is a must for anyone who enjoys first-class lodging, sophisticated cuisine, the roar of a crowd from one of their downtown state-of –the-art sporting venues, world-class aquarium, Science Center to the Experience Music Project – a museum of rock music!
Seattle is a wonderful weekend getaway or starting point to explore the impressive regions and waterways that surround this amazing city. A vibrant downtown features Pacific Rim cuisine, home of the original Nordstroms and surely not to be missed is Seattle’s lively and colorful Pike Place Market.
The thriving and diverse city of Bellevue lies three miles east of Seattle. This is the fifth-largest city in Washington, and is one the most prosperous and safe cities located just east of Seattle across Lake Washington. Nestled in between Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington, Bellevue Washington is undoubtedly the economic hub of the Eastside, making this a city that draws business and commerce as well as the communities that spring up around centers of commerce.
Kirkland lies on the northeastern shores of Lake Washington just north of Bellevue and a short drive across the I-520 Evergreen Point floating bridge from Seattle. Kirkland is noted for its many waterfront parks, tree-lined boulevards, a low-rise downtown, lanes of boutique shops and restaurants, interesting outdoor sculptures and an active community with people engaging in all kinds of recreation. A chic bedroom community of Seattle, Kirkland is a fun alternative to Seattle’s urban beat.
