Baldface Lodge, at 6,700 feet elevation, is a ten-minute helicopter flight from Nelson, B.C. The main lodge accommodates 12 guests in double occupancy rooms while timber-frame chalets provide accommodation for 4 guests each.
The timber-frame lodge offers leather furniture, locally made fixtures and artwork, a wood stove, Persian carpets, and a fully stocked craftsman-style bar. Darts, a pool table, board games, ski and snowboard DVDs, and ping-pong are available for evening entertainment. There is a retail shop stocked with necessities and Baldface gear to bring home as a souvenir. |

The main lodge rooms are double occupancy with two single beds, goose down duvets and flannel sheets. Bathrooms and showers are shared and just down the hall from the rooms.
The seven timber-frame chalets, a short walk from the main lodge, have two bedrooms (each with a queen and long twin bed) a full bathroom, wrap-around porch, drying closet, and a living room with panoramic views.

Winter Season
With 32,000 acres Baldface has every type of terrain imaginable from scenic cruisers in open bowls to heart-pounding steeps in the trees. Snowcat skiing and cat boarding at Baldface require that guests have at least intermediate/advanced-level powder skills.
Each year the snowfall and conditions are unique. Guides’ goals are to operate at the highest safety standard while showing every group a variety of fun and challenging runs and fresh tracks.
New terrain is opened every year at Baldface. Once an area is deemed safe, guests can make first descents and on memorable occasions name their runs. Forever Trevor, Dad’s Choice, Stoney Baloney, and BB Bowl are just a few of these special runs.
A photographer goes snowcat skiing with guests during the day and entertains the crowd with a slideshow held before dinner each evening. Photos are available for purchase.
Massage appointments with certified therapists are available from 3 to 9 p.m. Pre-bookings ensure a preferred time slot. A wood-burning sauna is prepared for guests at the end of each ski day.
Summer Season
The Baldface summer season is open until October 15. In addition to freeride mountain bike weekend adventures, guides are available for backcountry exploration. |

Nelson is a three and one half hour drive north of Spokane, Washington. Baldface Lodge is directly across Kootenay Lake from Nelson, between the Kokanee and Valhalla Provincial Parks.
Typically, our guests arrive at Baldface by one of four options:
Fly to Castlegar, BC (YCG) and take a cab into Nelson.
Fly to Spokane, WA (GEG) and take the Baldface shuttle or rent a car.

All guests are required to be at the Norman Stibbs Airport in Nelson at the following times (late guests will incur a $200 per person ground transport fee).

Making a reservation to cat ski at Baldface is quick and easy. Be ready to make the following choices:
• Four-day or three-day trip
• Main Lodge or Chalet accommodation
• Early, Mid, or High Season
• How many people in your group (one free seat with a group of 12)
Special rates start at $1200 for a two day stay and include all meals, transportation, guides and equipment.
