| Orcas Island boasts an extraordinary number of recreation options for enjoying the island amenities. Enjoy the experience of open water kayaking, or set sail on a wildlife tour and get closer to sea mammals, bird watching abounds — both on site at The Inn on Orcas Island as well as throughout the island where eagles, loons, terns, geese and hummingbirds can be spotted. Osprey are a common site fishing at Cascade Lake in Moran State Park. Also, the galleries and potteries on Orcas are well worth a visit. |

By Car/Bike/Hike: Ferries leaving Anacortes Washington are scheduled several times a day:
Take Exit 230 off of Interstate 5 in Burlington, Washington. Go West on Highway 20 toward Anacortes. Follow signs to the ferry terminal. As you come into Anacortes, the highway ends at Commercial Avenue. Turn right and travel through downtown Anacortes until you arrive at the 12th street stop light. Left on 12th to ferry terminals.
After arriving on Orcas, follow ferry traffic approximately 2 miles from the ferry landing. Turn left on Deer Harbor Road. Follow Deer Harbor Road approximately 5 miles to Channel Road. Turn right on channel road and right at the two large stone pillars.
