It was originally established in 1896 as a retreat for visitors from Portland, Oregon, and has operated continuously since its inception, which makes it the oldest continuously operating hotel in the State of Washington. 

For over a century guests have delighted in the superb cuisine offered at the Shelburne Country Inn. From fresh Willapa Bay oysters, Dungeness crab and local clams to a plethora of wild mushrooms and berries. Local specialties have delighted and nourished the hungry traveler since Robert Gray sailed up the Columbia in 1792.
