Galena ski trails are part of a larger system known as the North Valley Trails. The trails at Galena & the North Valley are so vast and diverse that Snow Country magazine described them as arguably the best in the United States.
The Snowshoe Trails at Galena have a little something for everyone. Our trails on the west side of the highway are all dog friendly. Wear out your four legged friend on one of our more strenuous trails or take your old faithful pal for an easy walk on the Cowboy Cabin Trail along the Bigwood. On the east side you can explore scenic vistas and wide open meadows on the Pioneer Cemetery Loop or get your blood pumping on Tilt a Whirl. Up for a little adventure? Check out Psycho Adventure for a true snowshoe exploration.
Wildlife walks are free every Wednesday with a naturalist who will fill you in on the areas habitat.
Tours and Clinics are available for all disciplines. Explore skate skiing on one of the most amazing trail networks in the country during our coed weekly skate clinics. A great chance to meet new people, ski new trails and learn from amazing instructors.
