The Pacific Yellowfin offers the utmost in comfort and a very real sense of tradition and history. Built before the era of mass production, the Pacific Yellowfin experience offers unique design, ample attention to fine detail, and the sheer joy of cruising on an exceptional historic yacht.
Your executive chef makes every cruise memorable with meals tailored to your preferences. The Fraser Valley and the coastal waters offer inspiration and a tremendous array of fresh, organic ingredients for our cuisine. An energetic and passionate approach to menu design and plate presentation is evident. The yacht's home port of Vancouver also offers a rich variety of herbs and spices due to its large ethnic populations, and incorporating these unique flavors into distinctive cuisine is always a choice offered to guests.
The Yellowfin is ideal for up to 8 guests overnight in 4 luxurious guest suites designed for absolute comfort. (For families with children of up to 12 guests, please inquire).
The Master Suite on the Main Deck has a Queen sized bed, five opening portholes for scenic views, and a private door to the outside deck, private ensuite, shower and DVD. A single bed can be added on request.
The Orca Suite on the top deck has a Queen sized bed, and numerous windows offer superb views, private ensuite, bath/shower and DVD.
The Islands Suite has a large double sized bed on one side, and offset upper/lower single beds on the other side. The Islands is nestled in the stern of the boat. The Islands is truly conducive to a peaceful "get away" with private ensuite, shower, DVD and VCR.
The Strait on the lower deck is an intimate guest cabin offering a double berth on one side, and a drop down single bed on the other side. Ship planking and the special view through two portholes create a luxurious feeling.
In addition, the Yellowfin is licensed for day cruises with a capacity of 49, although 35 is ideal. |

Executive chef Catherine Cafiti was born and raised in a small town just outside of Montreal. What this passionate French Canadian brings to the kitchen is the simplicity and comfort of this small town’s French cuisine. After graduating from the Insitut de Tourisme et D’Hotellier du Quebec she traveled to Emilia-Romagna, Italy as an ambassador to the Montaruli-Magnagni Foundation. After four months in Italy she studied wine pairings in Burgundy, France. On return to Canada she was commissioned to assist in the opening of two restaurants as a chefing consultant. Chef Catherine cooked for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turino. As the owner of her own catering company she moved to the west coast to work with some of Vancouver’s finest, immersing herself into the west coast’s obsession with fresh food. All of Catherine’s guests are welcome to watch her cook some of the best regional west coast food in her open kitchen aboard Pacific Yellowfin.
Mate Marco Khalil has lived in Southern British Columbia for 30 years. He has been actively cruising these waters recreationally and professionally since 1996: kayaking, sailing and camping throughout the Gulf Islands archipelago; serving in the Canadian Coast Guard as a Search and Rescue seaman, and as a Lighthouse keeper. Having a strong proclivity to all outdoor pursuits, Marco enjoys a close study of natural and cultural history; as well as tidepooling, beachcombing and, birdwatching.
With just a little prompting, Chief Engineer Jack Dixon can tell fascinating stories from his many years of maritime experience aboard coastal freighters and tankers along the BC coast. His dry sense of humour is also a welcome addition.
Additional crew members may join some charters. |
